At the foot of some steps, Boba Fett finds his father's battered helmet. He picks it up.

Starts with the clone army putting boots on the ground, ready for battle, and ends with the LAAT being fired upon from some other source.

The LAAT was conceived to be the "Jedi attack helicopter". This seems to be another Vietnam reference.
Kit Fisto jumps into a LAAT with his lightsaber ignited, without any consideration for safety.
Apparently, there was supposed to be a sub-plot involving an attempt to shut down a Trade Federation droid control ship.
This is the last time we see Boba Fett in the Star Wars movies (chronologically) before The Empire Strikes Back.
According to Gary Kurtz, Boba Fett was once planned to be the main villain in Return of the Jedi.
For the Special Edition, George Lucas wanted to add a scene with Boba Fett climbing out of the Sarlacc pit.
