Dove Men+Care 1 (ad)
Alex and Pete get everything on their shopping list!
Transcript
Alex: Let's see. Cream soda, licorice, anything else on our shopping list?
Pete: No, I think we're a—wait body wash! But let's get something good this time. That last stuff you picked out couldn't get the dirt off a gundark.
Alex: OK, how about this "Real Sports Gel: gets the cuck off". I don't even know what that means?
Pete: No, see if there's anything with, you know, like moisturizer.
Alex: Moisturizer, huh? Let's see... micromoisture technology... Oh, here's one: "Mint Explosion: A scent for a man".
Pete: {sniffing} Whew! More like "scent for Amanaman"! I want something moisturizing that's fresh, yet sophisticated. I don't know. Something...
Alex: —that's clinically proven to fight dryness!
Pete: Yeah, how did you—?
Alex: Bam! Right here, Dove Men+Care Elements body wash. Oooh! minerals plus sage
Pete: Sage huh? {sound of cap coming off the bottle and sniffing} My mind feels so...renewed.
Alex: Imagine this stuff on our skin.
{Squelching sound of body wash being poured out of the bottle}
Pete: My skin feels so fresh right now.
Alex: We should probably buy these right now before someone notices that we've been pouring body wash on our skin in the store.
Pete: You're right. To the checkout!
Alex: (announcer voice) Discover the power of elements with new Dove Men+Care elements, a range of body washes, bars, shampoos and deodorants with ingredient combinations inspired by nature like minerals and sage, charcoal and clay and mineral powder and sandalwood for a boost of freshness that leaves you renewed. Notes
- Both cream soda and licorice have been brought up before, especially on SWM:WE. A continued topic of debate is Twizzlers vs. Red Vines.
- "Get's the cuck off" was a phrase taken from a previous ad the guys did for Dove Men+Care. This caused a bit of a controversy among SWMLS members, some of whom found the term "cuck" to be offensive.
- See
- "cuck" on Urban dictionary.
- The guys have really upped their Foley game for this ad.
