Ryan Alexander-Tanner is a cartoonist and educator living in Portland, Oregon. His comics work is largely focused on making complex ideas more accessible to a large audience. He is probably most well known for illustrating the company logo for Dave's Killer Bread (which is delicious), as well as co-authoring and illustrating Bill Ayer's book on progressive education, To Teach: the Journey, In Comics, for Columbia University's Teacher's College Press. He has worked with a wide range of clients, including The Portland Mercury, Buzzfeed, Medium, The Nib, Lick Yogurt, Talking Points Memo, The Washington Post, The Willamette Week, Intel, Planned Parenthood, and many more. He would like you to know that he is available for illustration work, comics projects, teaching gigs (both classroom and private) and speaking engagements.
