A graceful skyscraper twinkles in the evening light of Coruscant.

Tony Consiglio

  • Wipe to Coruscant apartment complex.
  • First appearance of Hayden Christensen's Anakin.

  • Lack of applause shots in AOTC as opposed to in the Original Trilogy.
  • This scene in the elevator was added much later, after the first cut of the film was already complete. It was supposed to establish Anakin and Obi-Wan's relationship.
    • The scene is awkward and forced, which is odd because Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor had been acting together for the whole movie - shouldn't they have developed a rapport by now?
  • Jedi fashion.
Rigorous casting process for the Role of Anakin
1500 actors "fit the mold"

400 face-to-face meetings with casting director

100 came back for taped interviews

30 were passed along to George Lucas and Rick McCallum

Dialogue and readings

5 finalists for screen tests with Natalie Portman

2 "champions"

Hayden Christensen.
  • Who were some of these other 1499 actors that didn't make the cut? Will Disney be releasing any of this footage? Probably for purchase.
  • Mentioned: You'll be dead!

Meta Minute

  • 27:40 podcast episode length.
  • Anakin was born 41 years BBY, and the events of this movie take place in 22 BBY, so he is 19 years old.
