"Protocol? Why, it's my primary function, sir."

Help Getting Started

If you're new to Wiki editing, take a look at our Help getting started page

New Daily Episode Pages

You can start a new daily episode page by entering this into an empty page, saving the page, and then re-editing it:
{{subst:EpisodeTemplate|Film Name|Episode number}}
(Where "Film Name" can be changed to any of the film names, as described here, and "Episode number" is what minute of the movie is covered by that episode).
To see / edit the template, go to Template:EpisodeTemplate. There are comments (not visible until editing / viewing source) to help with filling in the various sections.

New Star Wars Minute: Weekend Edition Pages

You can start a new weekend edition episode page by entering this into an empty page, saving the page, and then re-editing it:
{{subst:SWM:WETemplate|Episode number}}
(Where once again you should fill in the "Episode number" with the number of the SWM:WE episode you're writing).

To see / edit the template, go to Template:SWM:WETemplate. There are comments (not visible until editing / viewing source) to help with filling in the various sections.

New Guest Pages

You can start a new guest page by entering this into an empty page, saving the page, and then re-editing it:
{{subst:GuestTemplate}}
To see / edit the template, go to Template:GuestTemplate. There are comments (not visible until editing / viewing source) to help with filling in the various sections.

Common Section Headings and Links

Nitpicky Stuff

In an effort to keep the wiki professional-looking and somewhat uniform, here's a brief protocol guide for writing article copy. Obviously adherence to this guide is not required, but we will try to follow it where we can.

Rule Example
Capitalization Words like "Rebel"/"Rebellion" and "Empire"/"Imperial" as well as "Prequels", "Original Trilogy", and "the Force" are proper nouns in the context of Star Wars and should be capitalized.

Also, when abbreviating the movie titles (for example, ANH, ESB, ROTJ), we capitalize the abbreviation.

Bolding If you happen to use the name of the episode in the description on the wiki page, we will bold that text.

Here's an example from Minute 80 of The Empire Strikes Back: "...gentle but persistent wind on the platform..."

Italics We italicize Film Names, such as The Phantom Menace. When referring to the film Star Wars, it should be italicized, but when referring to the franchise or the universe it depicts, it should not.

We also italicize editors notes when we make comments on things stated on the podcast. The Empire Strikes Back 3 has an example of this.

Capitals AND italics When using the full name of the podcast, we capitalize and italicize all the letters like so: the STAR WARS MINUTE
