Nitpicky Stuff
In an effort to keep the wiki professional-looking and somewhat uniform, here's a brief protocol guide for writing article copy.
Rule | Example |
---|---|
Capitalization | Words like "Rebel"/"Rebellion" and "Empire"/"Imperial" as well as "Prequels", "Original Trilogy", and "the Force" are proper nouns in the context of Star Wars and should be capitalized.
Also, when abbreviating the movie titles (for example, ANH, ESB, ROTJ), we capitalize the abbreviation. |
Bolding | If you happen to use the name of the episode in the description on the wiki page, we will bold that text.
Here's an example from Minute 80 of The Empire Strikes Back: "...gentle but persistent wind on the platform..." |
Italics | We italicize Film Names, such as The Phantom Menace. When referring to the film Star Wars, it should be italicized, but when referring to the franchise or the universe it depicts, it should not.
We also italicize editors notes when we make comments on things stated on the podcast. The Empire Strikes Back 3 has an example of this. |
Capitals AND italics | When using the full name of the podcast, we capitalize and italicize all the letters like so: the STAR WARS MINUTE |
