Help talk:Film names

Guest Categories page

By now you've probably seen my Help:Episode Categories page, and I feel like we should have a Help:Guest Categories page too (after all, Category:All-Star guests isn't a film name). The problem is that some of this stuff will have to stay here. Maybe we just have a link to the Guest Categories page from here? Spookypeanut (talk) 14:59, 8 June 2016 (PDT)

I've removed the guest categories from "Film names" and made it a page. Then I linked to all of them under the categories section of the getting started page What do you think of that?

A New Hope vs ANH

It seems strange that the abbreviation for a film that we refuse to call "A New Hope" is ANH, doesn't it? Shouldn't it be SW? Or maybe SWE4 to avoid confusion with the franchise?

I agree, though I noticed that when we do occasionally abbreviate it, we've used ANH. I've no problem with it either way (I've just recently started calling it Star Wars thanks to Pete, and I think his level of purism on that point is pretty amusing). I just wanted to put something down for it. We can adjust the usage on the wiki to match whatever we decide to put on this page.--Kabutton (talk) 12:25, 1 January 2017 (PST)
