The circle is now complete as guest commentator Riley Silverman finally learns the truth about what happened that fateful night in Kylo Ren's bedroom!

Riley Silverman

  • Starts with Luke saying it was worse than he ever imagined, and ends with Rey saying "this could be how we win".
  • In the flashback, Luke is wearing the same robes as the first time we see him in this movie.
  • Strange squeak sound when Ben Solo brings the house down.

  • Mentioned: the Adam Sandler movie Uncut Gems.
  • In-depth conversation about lightsaber choices, both in- and out-of-universe.
    • Callback to an earlier conversation about Luke's lightsaber choice for his "battle" with Kylo.
    • Recall: Lucas forgot that Anakin's lightsaber ended up with Obi-Wan at the end of ROTS, so they had to add in the scene of Anakin burning on the lava beach and Obi-Wan taking the saber. Referenced: Anakin "I hate you!" meme.
  • What if Luke had killed Ben Solo in that moment? Any way this turns out, it's all part of Snoke/Palpatine's plan: one of them falls to the Dark side and Luke's academy is done for.
    • See also: Palpatine's handling of the Clone War and the Anakin-Dooku rivalry; he always ends up with the strongest apprentice.
    • Sheev's plan with Luke and Kylo parallels Luke refusing to kill his father in ROTJ. He keeps trying the same thing over and over and it keeps not working.
  • Mentioned: "The Rise of Kylo Ren" comics.
  • Again, Rey shines as a strong character and a force of positivity in this minute.
  • Jedi sleepwear. What this movie would be like if Wes Anderson had directed.
  • Recall, Mark Hamill is ambidextrous. His choices in- and out- of universe.
  • Things Riley would like us to look out for.
    • Luke not physically being on Crait.
    • The lightsaber fight in the red throne room.
      • In-universe romance novels, where lightsaber duels are coded love scenes.
  • These have been some juicy minutes. Plug for 8-DAY-GREEDO.
