Administrator (Also known as SysOp) is the rank above User but below Bureaucrat. You can only me made an admin by a Bureaucrat.
Group rights
Administrators can:
- Block a user from sending email
- Block other users from editing
- Change protection levels of pages
- Delete pages
- Edit pages protected as "Allow only administrators"
- Edit the user interface
- Have one's own edits automatically marked as patrolled
- Mark others' edits as patrolled
- Mass delete pages (nuke)
- Quickly rollback the edits of the last user who edited a particular page
- Search deleted pages
- Unblock oneself
- Undelete a page
- View a list of unwatched pages
- View deleted history entries, without their associated text (deletedhistory)
- View deleted text and changes between deleted revisions (deletedtext)
- View spam blacklist log (spamblacklistlog)
- blockandnuke (blockandnuke)
Administrators cannot:
- Confirm new users
- Change what group a user is in
- Change the rights of a group of users
- Install MediaWiki extensions/Widgets
