Project:Administrators

Administrator (Also known as SysOp) is the rank above User but below Bureaucrat. You can only be made an admin by a Bureaucrat.

Group rights

Administrators can:

• Block a user from sending email
• Block other users from editing
• Change protection levels of pages
• Delete pages
• Edit pages protected as "Allow only administrators"
• Edit the user interface
• Have one's own edits automatically marked as patrolled
• Mark others' edits as patrolled
• Mass delete pages (nuke)
• Quickly rollback the edits of the last user who edited a particular page
• Search deleted pages
• Unblock oneself
• Undelete a page
• View a list of unwatched pages
• View deleted history entries, without their associated text
• View deleted text and changes between deleted revisions
• View spam blacklist log
• blockandnuke

Administrators cannot:

• Confirm new users
• Change what group a user is in
• Change the rights of a group of users
• Install MediaWiki extensions/Widgets
