Minute 60; we made it!

This was a monster episode and there are some important things said that I just wanted to share for your consideration - they may inform future work on the Wiki. In this episode:

  • In the movie, Han is very skeptical about The Force existing (he even says as much) and even though Pete doesn't say anything in the podcast directly, with the benefit of hindsight I think you can start to hear Pete forming and agreeing with Han's view. Just an interesting reference point in terms of the "Force doesn't exist" theory.
  • As a counter-point to the above, Pete raises the possibility of Obi-Wan 'Force controlling' Luke the whole time. Again, however, I think the "Force doesn't exist theory" is just forming and taking shape at this point.
  • Both Pete and Alex soften their stance on completely disliking the prequels in this episode. They certainly don't go as far as saying they like them, but they do admit that there are some good points to them, or at least certain episodes. Again, this may be an interesting reference point going forward.
  • There is a sense that the podcast is now a going concern and bigger plans are being made for it. Pete and Alex's comments about scheduling and future movies indicate this.

Anyway, just sharing these points as indicated. Minute 60 feels like an important episode, not just because of the number. Thanks.--Dl1846 (talk) 04:05, 28 August 2016 (PDT)
