Eric Carney is a three-time Emmy Award winning VFX Supervisor for Game of Thrones and one of the Co-Founders at The Third Floor, a multinational visualization studio. Eric continues to work on the hit HBO show as a Previs Supervisor and Additional VFX Supervisor, supervising the innovative filming of VFX shots on set.
Eric Carney is a three-time Emmy Award winning VFX Supervisor for Game of Thrones and one of the Co-Founders at The Third Floor, a multinational visualization studio. Eric continues to work on the hit HBO show as a Previs Supervisor and Additional VFX Supervisor, supervising the innovative filming of VFX shots on set.


Eric studied filmmaking, cinematography and animation at NYU Film School. His first big break was working on visual effects for ''Revenge of the Sith'', where he discovered [[What does it smell like?|what George Lucas smells like]]. It was Eric who called into the show to let us know that he overhead Lucas suggesting that the Jedi might be wrong about the Midi-chlorians. He has an extensive knowledge of motion capture and virtual production and has thrice teamed up with director Robert Zemekis to help compose dynamic shots for his motion capture and live action films.
